Terms
What Star Chef is
Star Chef generates recipes on demand using a language model. Recipes are creative output — they are starting points, not professionally tested instructions. Cook with judgment, taste as you go, and don't serve anything you wouldn't eat yourself.
Allergies and food safety
The app does not know your allergies or dietary restrictions unless you reflect them in the ingredients you type. Always confirm a recipe is safe for you and anyone you're cooking for. Cooking with raw meat, fish, and eggs carries food-safety risks the recipes do not exhaustively cover.
The chefs are not real people
The chef archetypes in the app are fictional personalities inspired by the kind of figures you might see on cooking television. They do not share names, biographies, or likenesses with any real person.
Acceptable use
Don't try to drain the recipe generator. The proxy enforces per-user request limits — operating around them is a violation of these terms.
Subscriptions, payments, and refunds
Star Chef Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription — monthly ($4.99/mo) or annual ($39.99/yr, with a 7-day free trial on first signup). Subscriptions are processed and billed by your platform's app store (Apple or Google), and renew automatically until you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store / Play Store subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests follow your platform's policies — Star Chef cannot directly issue refunds.
Liability
Star Chef is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we'll surface a note in the app the next time you open it.
